2011 is The International Year of The Forest and we are very proud of the range of riding facilities Dalby and Kielder Forests have to offer you and your family – bring a picnic or sample our delicious home-cooked food and snacks – either way you will enjoy a day to remember.

Bike Hire Choice

With vast ranges of traffic free trails Dalby and Kielder Forests have facilities for all levels of rider, wide and gentle for families and those new to mountian biking, to singletrack, hollows, jumps and drops for the adrenaline junkies.

Purple Mountain has a hire fleet to match – the Kona Cindercone is our hardtail work horse and with over 60 at our disposal and with kids bikes, tagalongs and trailers all the family can ride too.

We have a range of courses for all – Families , Women-only , Kids , Beginners, Intermediates and even those wanting to be the next Junior World Champ !

Like a Guided Ride ?

If you really love the idea of getting out into the forest but you are either new to mountain biking or want to tackle the next step up then we have expert and enthusiastic guided tours and rides for you including

Beginners – Family Skills Rides - February 25th, April 17th + 21st, June 4th

Intermeadiates – Wild Rides – January 30th, February 27th, March 27th, April 24th, May 29th, June 26th

Advanced – Night Rides – February 2nd+16th, March 2nd + 16th + 30th, April 6th + 20th
